REPAIRS AND MODERNIZATIONS

One of the objectives of our Foundation is assisting in repairs and modernizations. We have had a record of 27 projects completed. We help out individual families, foster families as well as all kinds of facilities providing accommodation to children – orphanage houses, kids shelters, community centers, training and education centers, schools, kindergartens, single mother facilities.

July 2016 - RENOVATION OF THE DINING ROOM

In August, we renovated the canteen for children at the Special School and Educational Centre for Children in Baczków. It is a facility where children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, autism, and coupled disorders learn and stay. The Centre is composed of: – an elementary school, –a secondary school,- a vocational training school – a rehabilitation and educational centre for children with severe intellectual disability (3 – 25-year-old), and – a boarding house.

The children and the adolescents of the Special School and Educational Centre in Baczków can stay at the Centre’s boarding house. It provides care throughout a week, both on school days and on Saturdays and Sundays. The facility features its own kitchen which directly prepares and distributes meals.

The former dining room has not been renovated for years. One large wall was entirely dank, there was mould on walls. And we decided to help just here and financed the renovation of this room, including the removal of the source of moisture. The works included the replacement of the floor, painting the wall, the replacement of the window boards, the removal of moisture, and the protection of the walls outside the building.
