MARCH 2025 - the grand opening of a new place for young people - #Just4Smile club

We did it! On March 20th at 5:00 p.m., the grand opening of a new place for young people - the #Just4Smile club, took place in the building of the sociotherapeutic community center at 31 Grodziska Street in Brwinów. Among those present were The Mayor of Brwinów, Jerzy Wysocki, the Director of the Social Welfare Center, Joanna Dzierzba, school directors, numerous project partners, volunteers and, of course, young people :).

Just4smile is our joint project with the Social Welfare Center in Brwinów, a place for young people, designed by them and for them. To recap, we started in November 2024 - with workshops with an interior designer. The young people redesigned one of the rooms in the common room, which the Community Social Welfare Center had designated as a youth club. Anna Stankiewicz, the president of the Formika Dzieciom Foundation, and Sylwia Idzi, the project manager, arranged a meeting with an interior designer at the beginning of the project, thanks to which the young people's creative ideas took shape and concrete solutions were developed under the guidance of a professional. “It was an extraordinary opportunity to dream, design and discuss together how to create a space that would not only be functional, but above all tailored to the needs of young people,” they summarized this stage of the project.

The modernization of the place and the creation of a new interior was made possible thanks to volunteers - employees of Formika Sp. z o.o. 26 volunteers spent one weekend in January repainting the walls and assembling new furniture that had been delivered in packages. The new club is designed to make young people feel at home.

On the following Thursdays, you will be able to meet interesting people and discuss interesting topics, spend time in a friendly place, eat pizza together, talk and spend time together. Talks on self-presentation or using artificial intelligence are on offer for the next two meetings. Thursdays, 5 p.m., community center at 31 Grodziska Street – this is an open invitation that is worth sharing with your teenage friends.
