September 2020 - POLISH CHAMPIONSHIP

On Saturday, September 12, the 11th Polish Football Championships of Children from Orphanages were held in Warsaw. Footballers from nearly 30 Polish orphanages fought at the OSiR Bemowo stadium for the Cup of the Polish Champion.

The last few months have been difficult for all of us. In particularly difficult situation were  children subjected to foster care - deprived not only of their parents, but also of schoolmates, who lived for several months in a reality confined to the walls of an orphanage. The pandemic turned out to be a particularly difficult challenge for the young, energetic players from orphanages, who have been spreading energy for months. Finally, they were  able to release it - on Saturday, September 12, in Warsaw, the largest cyclical sports event in Poland was held for children care centres   and educational institutions from all over the country. Traditionally, the Championship is held in April. This year - exceptionally - due to the epidemiological situation, the organizers have postponed their date to September.

 Football teams from orphanages in large cities and small towns have registered on the pitch of the OSiR Bemowo stadium in Warsaw from Szczecin, Gdańsk, Warsaw, Olsztyn, Płock, Kołaczków, Reszel, Wojsławice or Gostchorz.

The sponsors and organizers of the Championship have prepared surprises and gifts for all participants of the tournament. Our foundation purchased 60 balls as prizes for the best.

The "Horyzont Kołaczkowo" team became Polish champion!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!

Every year, the tournament is organized by the "Nadzieja na Mundial" association.
