JUNE 2023 - summary of the "power4future_locally" project

ߓ㠔he #power4future_locally project is now behind us.... On 14 June, during a gala at the House of Culture in Brwinów, the young people presented their mini-projects to us and told us about their implementation and their feelings.
We can see how strongly they got involved, how incredibly maturely they approached the whole undertaking and how necessary project activities are.
ߑ頗hat did their participation in the foundation project give them?
1. community engagement: it enabled the young people to get involved in their community. They participated in activities that have a positive impact on other local people, which contributed to a sense of belonging and community involvement.
2. Skills development: they learned how to organise and manage a project, how to work with others, how to solve problems and how to communicate.
3. Building self-esteem: young people experienced a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment when they saw how their efforts contributed to positive change in the community. By seeing that their actions have value and impact on others, they can build greater confidence and develop positive self-esteem.
4 Connecting with peers: Local community projects often attract young people with similar values and goals. By acting together, young people can develop new friendships and relationships with peers who are also interested in community activities. This gives them the opportunity to expand their social network and find support within the group.
5. social awareness: working on local projects helps young people to understand the issues and challenges facing their community. This allows them to develop their social awareness, empathy and capacity for empathy. This perspective can encourage them to actively participate in social issues in the future as well.
The impact of implementing community projects on young people can be very positive. Not only does it provide them with valuable experiences and skills, but it also helps them to build social bonds and develop social responsibility.
