New Year, new large families, new projects. We are receiving more and more application forms from families in need from different district in Poland. Recently our support was directed to Pomorskie district. We provided them with long-term expiry date food and cleaning items, household items as new towels and bedclothes. Children received neccesary school supplies, schoolbags, new clothes. We also delivered the fuel supply for the wintertime.
Thanks to our support , seven children from Klembow district took part in different activities organized by Creative Worksop (www.fajniejlepiej.pl) during winter holidays in Ostrowek.
Each day children spent their time in a different way. There were such activities as - film day, artistic day, celebrity day, culinary day etc. They were painting, colouring, pplaying and laughing. There was also a campfire and barbecues.
Our aid for large families from Klembów district - it's not only one-time shopping as food or other necessary things. We support their children in education as participation in english classes , artistic and scientific activities.
Due to fact that in this region there are lots of children with difficulties in learning, our foundation decided to encurage them and financing re-educational classes connected with pedagogig therapy. We know that such kind of aid is a good step. We see changes in these children who are provided with such wide array of our support.
In December we visited a branch of Orphanage No. 1 in Warsaw, named Small Group of Self-Independence. In 2005 the youth from Small Group of Self-Independence along with its counselors settled in a Warsaw housing estate of Bielany. The apartment provides relevant residential and living conditions, in compliance with the standards of pedagogical services, provided for the teenagers aged 14-18, permanently deprived of care from their own families. The area 120 m2, consists of 6 rooms for wards, a counselor room, living room, kitchen and two bathrooms.
Youth’s daily routine include covers self-preparation of meals, cooking, all of which make them more self-reliant. Therefore, we decided to purchase the kitchen appliances, the children needed, including the toaster, sandwich makers, waffle-maker, multifunctional blender and a new kettle. Our help in 2015 also comprises repairing of one bathroom, painting of the living room, kitchen and a counselor room.
